Both Miami-Dade Police and Fire Rescue responded to reports of a shooting and a vehicle crash in the area of Old Cutler Road and Marlin Road just before 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Old Cutler Road had to be shutdown while police conducted their investigation. Police have not announced whether the deceased died as a result of the collision against the tree or a bullet wound. They did, however, report that someone riding in another car sideswiped the victim and a someone in that car may have shot at him.

Police have asked other police units to be on the lookout for a 2009 Black or Dark Blue Nissan Maxima or similar vehicle with dark tinted windows, which may have one or two occupants inside. It is missing a driver-side headlight, part of the bumper and a side mirror after it sideswiped the victim’s vehicle.

The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Old Cutler Road. If you have any information on the whereabouts of this car or its occupants, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
